Overview
These ivory white flowers remind us of big scoops of vanilla ice cream. 3", fully double blooms are lush with abundant layering and ruffling. Group 2, for early spring to summer harvest. Lisianthus is also known as prairie gentian, Texas bluebell, and showy prairie gentian. Pelleted seeds.
Planting
Start indoors 10-12 weeks before last frost; press seeds onto moist, sterile seed-starting mix without covering; maintain 70-75°F soil temperature. Transplant to garden 1-2 weeks after last frost when soil reaches 65°F+
Growing
Sun: partial. Water: high. Soil: Well-drained loam with excellent drainage; slightly acidic to neutral pH (6.0-7.0). Space plants 12" apart. Germination: 10-14 days.

Common pests: Aphids, spider mites, whiteflies (primarily in greenhouse conditions). Common diseases: Powdery mildew, root rot (from overwatering), damping-off (seedling disease).
