  • Overview

    Aroma is similar to oregano, but sweeter and more balsam-like. Compact plant. Edible Flowers: Use the flowers, which have a mild and marjoram-like flavor, as you would the herb to garnish salads, soups, stews, sauces, and stuffing. Also pairs well with citrus, mushrooms, and fish.

  • Planting

    Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost or direct sow after soil warms. Can also propagate from cuttings.

  • Growing

    Sun: full. Water: low. Soil pH: 6.5–7.5. Space plants 6" apart. Germination: 7-14.

  • Pests & diseases

    Common pests: Aphids, spider mites, whiteflies. Common diseases: Root rot in poorly drained soils, powdery mildew in humid conditions.
