  • Overview

Novel 1-1 1/2" wide pollen-free blooms offer extended vase life. The absence of messy pollen makes Solo® an excellent choice for wedding flowers and wearable flowers such as corsages, boutonnieres, and flower crowns. Single flowers display a slight but distinct flared shape at the petal edge. Multiple pure white flowers are held upright on sturdy stems. Group 2, best suited for spring production. Lisianthus is also known as prairie gentian, Texas bluebell, and showy prairie gentian. Pelleted seeds.

  • Planting

Start indoors 10-12 weeks before target bloom date; sow on soil surface under bright light, maintain 70-75°F; transplant to larger containers at 4-6 true leaves; harden off and transplant outdoors after last frost

  • Growing

Sun: partial. Water: high. Soil: Well-draining, slightly acidic to neutral, organic matter-rich. Space plants 12" apart. Germination: 10-14 days.

  • Pests & diseases

Common pests: Whiteflies, thrips, spider mites in indoor production. Common diseases: Botrytis (gray mold), root rot from overwatering, damping-off in seedling stage.
