    A magnificent native evergreen rhododendron that produces spectacular clusters of lilac-purple blooms in late spring. This hardy mountain native is prized for its cold tolerance and reliability, making it one of the most dependable rhododendrons for northern gardens.     Plant nursery stock in spring or fall. Dig hole twice as wide as root ball, plant at same depth, mulch heavily.
