    Red Trillium (Trillium erectum) is a perennial native wildflower. Hardy in USDA zones 4 to 7.

  • Planting

    Stratify seed 30 days in cold, moist conditions; sow indoors at 55-65°F. Alternatively, sow directly outdoors in fall for natural winter stratification. Plant rhizomes or containerized plants in fall or early spring, 1-2 inches deep

  • Growing

    Sun: partial. Water: high. Soil: Rich, moist, well-draining loam, slightly acidic (pH 5.5-6.5), high in organic matter. Space plants 12" apart. Germination: 30-60 days (erratic and slow).
