  • Overview

    A reliable and adaptable standard red beet. Medium-tall, red-veined greens for bunching. Less uniform and not as attractive as our other red hybrids. Also available with NOP-compliant pelleting.

  • Planting

    Direct sow 2-4 weeks before last frost through early summer. Plant seeds ½ inch deep, thin to proper spacing when 3 inches tall.

  • Growing

    Sun: partial. Water: high. Soil pH: 6–7.5. Space plants 3" apart. Germination: 7-14.

  • Pests & diseases

    Common pests: Leaf miners, flea beetles, aphids, wireworms. Common diseases: Cercospora leaf spot, downy mildew, damping-off.
