Overview
Chioggia type chicory with dense, 4-5" diameter heads. The flavor and bright purple color are both enhanced in the cooler fall weather. High bolt tolerance. Also available in organic seed.
Planting
Direct sow in late summer for fall harvest, or early spring. Keep soil consistently moist until germination.
Growing
Sun: full. Water: moderate. Soil: Well-drained loam with moderate fertility. Space plants 8" apart. Germination: 7-10 days.
