Planting
Plant container trees in spring, grafted preferred. Self-fertile but benefits from cross-pollination with other hickories.

Sun: partial. Water: moderate. Soil pH: 6–7.5. Space plants 480" apart. Germination: 30-120 days.

Common pests: Hickory weevil, aphids, hickory bark beetle, fall webworm. Common diseases: Anthracnose, leaf spot, canker diseases (rarely serious).
