Overview
Broad, slightly cupped, rounded leaf. Faster growing and less-cupped leaf than Koji. Wider leaf, shorter petiole, and faster than Carlton. Komatsuna is similar to tatsoi, but has a denser, less juicy texture.

Direct sow or start indoors 4-6 weeks before last frost; transplant or thin seedlings to proper spacing
Growing
Sun: shade. Water: high. Soil: Well-drained, fertile soil rich in organic matter. Space plants 12" apart. Germination: 7-10 days.
