    Dutchman's Breeches (Dicentra cucullaria) is a perennial native wildflower. Hardy in USDA zones 3 to 7. Prefers part sun.

  • Planting

    Cold stratify seeds for 30 days before spring planting, or sow seeds outdoors in fall for natural winter stratification. Plant dormant tubers in fall 2-3 inches deep.

  • Growing

    Sun: partial. Water: high. Soil pH: 6–8. Space plants 12" apart. Germination: 14-28 days (after cold stratification).
