Overview
Commonly used to add flavor and texture to salads and sandwiches. One tablespoon of seed yields approx. 2-3 cups of sprouts. All of Johnny's high-germination sprouting seeds have tested negative for the presence of E. coli 0157 and Salmonella.
Planting
Soak seeds 4-8 hours for better germination. Rinse and spread evenly on moist growing medium. Cover for 2-3 days until germination.
Growing
Sun: full. Water: low. Soil pH: 6.5–7.5. Space plants 1" apart. Germination: 2-4.
Pests & diseases
Common pests: Aphids, thrips in greenhouse conditions. Common diseases: Damping off from overwatering, bacterial soft rot.
